Conair GS10 Deluxe Fabric Steamer Familiar to wardrobe crews in the fashion and entertainment fields, wand jiffy fabric steamers like this one press wrinkles out of garments, drapes, and upholstery quicker and easier than irons–and they won’t “shine” or scorch fabrics. This 1,300-watt jiffy fabric steamer shoots high-velocity steam jets out of a 6-inch-wide head to smooth any fabric from sheer silk to thick wool. A removable water tank provides up to 75 minutes of steaming time. The jiffy fabric steamer heats in a minute and then rolls to work on sturdy casters. Garments and drapes can be pressed where they hang, including closets, or garments can be hung from the jiffy fabric steamer’s telescopic rod, which rises as high as 65 inches above the floor. For storage, the rod has a holder for the wand; or the rod can be removed; or it can be retracted so the jiffy fabric steamer’s 5-foot flexible hose with the wand attached can be clipped to it (clip included).
Other features include an automatic safety shutoff in case the jiffy fabric steamer runs dry, a low-water indicator light, a stay-cool wand handle, and a cord-wrap in the rear. The jiffy fabric steamer’s plastic base measures 10 inches wide, 15-1/2 inches high, and 15-1/2 inches deep. The jiffy fabric steamer carries a one-year warranty against defects. –Fred Brack
